← Clipboard LAN Bridge

Effective August 28, 2026

Privacy, by construction.

Clipboard LAN Bridge is designed so we do not receive the text you transfer. The app has no account system, analytics, advertising, telemetry, or cloud relay.

What stays on your devices

Your device name, private pairing key, paired-device public keys, license token, and short-lived transfer queue are stored locally. Transfer text is encrypted between paired devices and sent directly over your local network. Expired items are removed from the active queue. Uninstalling the app removes data according to your operating system’s normal app-data behavior.

Network visibility

The app broadcasts a random device identifier, your chosen device name, its public pairing key, and local port on the current LAN so other copies can discover it. No clipboard content is broadcast. Network administrators and other devices may observe that a device is announcing the service, but cannot decrypt paired transfers.

Clipboard access

The clipboard is read only when you choose “Paste from clipboard” and written only when you choose “Copy text.” Clipboard changes are never monitored.

Purchases

If you buy a Route pass, checkout is operated by Sociobot with Dodo as merchant of record. They process the purchase under their own policies. The app stores your license token locally and sends it to the Sociobot verification endpoint no more than once per day. Transfer text and paired-device details are never included.

Website

The download site sets no advertising or analytics cookies. Its hosting provider may retain ordinary security logs such as IP address, user agent, and request time. The site requests the public GitHub release manifest to select a current installer.

Your choices

You can forget any paired device inside the app, delete a received item early, remove the locally stored license in app storage, or uninstall the app. For privacy questions, email privacy@sociobot.in.
